Clarkdale is holding its 2nd Annual Historic Building and Homes Tour December 11th and 12th from 9 am until 4 pm each day. The museum board of directors has assembled a tour of historic homes in Upper and Lower Clarkdale, St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Clarkdale High School, and the Clarkdale Club House. Founded in 1912 by William Andrews Clark, Clarkdale is known as Arizona's first "Master Planned" community claiming to be one of the most modern mining towns of its time. Construction of Clarkdale took place over many years, beginning in 1914 and Finishing in 1930. The phased construction led to varied approved architectural styles, such as: Mission, English Cottage, Bungalow, Craftsman, Eclectic, Tudor, and Spanish Colonial Revival. In 1989 Clarkdale was placed on the Register of Historic Places, comprised of 386 homes and buildings. It is Arizona's largest historic district! Over the years Clarkdale has grown and changed, but one thing remains the same, its small town sense of community.
Clarkdale is located 4 miles east of Jerome, 4 miles north of cottonwood, and 15 miles northwest of Sedona on Arizona's Historic 89A.
Tickets are $20 each and include lunch. Tour will start each day at 9am at the Clarkdale Historical Society and Museum. For more information please call: 928-649-1198 or email at clarkdaleheritage@gmail.com

MUHS A.T.O.R.T. (A Troupe Of Ridiculous Thespians) is proud to present the Arizona premier of Impression: Monet - a musical staged reading about the life of impressionist painter Claude Monet. Set in the late 1800's and early 1900's, this story follows Monet and his love of his first wife Camille and second wife, Alice. Written by Clarkdale residents Curt Ireland with lyrics and music by Cynthia Strom, this musical has a lush score and a book full of wit, sarcasm, mystery and sorrow. With a minimalist set, this stage reading gives the audience a chance to use the greatest asset in theatre - their imagination. While following the story, projected images behind the action will not only show the setting, but the paintings that Monet painted during the various times and locations during his carrier. Showing the following times in the MUHS Auditorium:
