Chino Valley police detectives continue to study the Wednesday night shooting of two people. 40-year old Mary Winther of Skull Valley and 40-year old Daniel Beasley of Chino Valley were both shot and wounded at a home on East Road 3 North. While Winther is said to be recovering, Beasley was more gravely injured and a Chino Valley police spokesman said at mid-day Friday that Beasley’s condition had not changed; Beasley was listed in extremely critical condition at a Phoenix hospital on Thursday. The suspect – 24-year old Scott St Pierre of Eloy – was arrested after the shooting; police have not commented on a possible motive.
